BTH is seeking a Librarian for a fixed-term position at the university library.

The University Library at BTH provides qualified information services to students and researchers. It is a meeting place where students gather, learn for life, and access all our resources. The library also has a well-developed online presence. We prioritize the development of access to e-resources and manage library and research support systems. Responsibilities

The responsibilities include ongoing library work as well as teaching and supervising students in information literacy. Additionally, you will work with various library tasks alongside other staff members, such as information and reference work, making the library's information resources and the university's research results and publications accessible. Proactive contact work with the university's teachers, students, and researchers is part of the role. User needs are always at the forefront of the library's operations, which means the job content may change over time.

Qualifications

An academic degree in Library and Information Science or equivalent. A Master's degree is advantageous. We are looking for someone with a strong pedagogical interest and preferably experience in teaching. You have good IT skills and an interest and ability to work with the library's IT applications. Great importance will be placed on your personal qualities, such as being outgoing and independent, having good communication and teaching skills, and possessing good language skills in Swedish and English. You should be able to collaborate easily and thrive working both independently and in a group.
