We are now looking for a Lead Fitter for a thriving welding company in the industrial sector, based in Södertälje. The company is part of the Instalco Group, which means long-term stability, solid economy, and good opportunities for development.

This is a role for you who are technically strong, confident in a leadership position, and used to taking responsibility – both in production and in dialogue with customers.

About the role

As a Lead Fitter, you play a key role in projects. You lead fitting and welding work on workshop and industrial assignments, ensuring that the work is carried out with the right quality, safety, and pace.

You act as the link between the team and the customer's site management and have clear responsibility for both execution and follow-up.

Your main areas of responsibility

🔧 Technology & Quality

• Work independently based on drawings
• Extensive background in fitting and/or welding
• Ensure that the work meets the right quality – be able to immediately determine if a job meets the requirements

👷 Leadership & Supervision

• Lead and distribute work in teams of 2–5 people
• Ensure that safety rules and procedures are followed
• Dare to make uncomfortable decisions and correct issues when there is carelessness or deviations
• Create structure, pace, and good team spirit

🧾 Customer Contact & Administration

• Maintain a professional dialogue with site managers and clients
• Handle and follow up on time reports
• Drive additional work (ÄTA) continuously for correct invoicing
• Understand the importance of documentation and business-like conduct

We are looking for someone who

• Has several years of experience in fitting and/or welding within the industry
• Is very familiar with reading drawings
• Has experience leading others in production
• Is responsible, clear, and confident in your role
• Thrives with both practical work and administrative tasks
• Has good Swedish language skills in speech and writing
