We are looking for a Project Manager for General Roads within Incident Management for Trafikverket (Swedish Transport Administration).

This is a consulting assignment based in Stockholm.

The position ranges between 25–45% of full-time hours.

The assignment involves close collaboration with the client, which places high demands on flexibility and teamwork.

The Assignment

We are seeking a Project Manager for General Roads within VägAssistans (Road Assistance) in the Stockholm region. The role involves responsibility for planning, follow-up, and quality control of the contractor's deliveries, as well as support to project management in matters related to incidents, authority cases, and procurement. The assignment also includes cooperation with Trafik Stockholm and emergency services, as well as knowledge transfer to the operations.

Responsibilities

• Planning, inventory, and follow-up of delivery quality by monitoring the contractor's quality plan, control program, self-control, and incident and statistical reports from Trafik Stockholm.
• Control of the contractor's certificates and spot checks of quantity calculations in relation to invoicing documents.
• Assist project management with the control of incidents and customer cases through follow-up, control, and ensuring specifications, for example, through site visits to the contractor.
• Provide statements in authority cases and maintain contact with emergency services.
• Maintain necessary documentation during site visits and meetings.
• Prepare VägAss instructions together with Trafik Stockholm and maintain contacts with all emergency services.
• Read and handle statistics and incident reports from Trafik Stockholm.
• Generally good IT skills.
• Provide relevant knowledge and input during the procurement of a new VägAssistans contract.
• Transfer knowledge to employees regarding the tasks performed within the assignment.

Requirements (Mandatory)

• Fluent in Swedish, both spoken and written.
• Experience working in project groups where coordination was crucial.
• Valid B-class driver's license.
• At least 3 years of work experience as a project manager within the relevant technical area (Project Manager General Roads).
• Knowledge of laws, regulations, standards, and directives within the relevant area.
• Requirement of at least 5 years of work experience where at least one assignment as a project manager within VägAssistans or similar operations involving major state roads (multi-lane roads with an Annual Average Daily Traffic (AADT) exceeding 50,000 vehicles) has been conducted. The assignments must have been carried out in a structured, professional, and high-quality manner. The work experience must not be older than ten (10) years.
• Requirement of at least 5 years of work experience as a construction or project manager or in a supervisory role within VägAssistans from projects with multiple contractors, infrastructure, or clients where the coordination function together with the Traffic Center was an essential part of the assignment. The work experience must not be older than ten (10) years.
• Requirement of at least 5 years of work experience as a project manager from comparable assignments related to incident management in the state road network. The work experience must not be older than 10 years.
