Job Description

Do you want to help develop the future maintenance of the water and wastewater pipe network? Here, you will have the opportunity to contribute to the development of water and wastewater maintenance in a growing municipality where sustainability, digitalization, and long-term societal development are in focus.

As a Maintenance Engineer, you are responsible for planning, developing, and optimizing preventive maintenance for the water and wastewater pipe network. The role is new and offers you great opportunities to help build up methods and structures within maintenance. You are part of a maintenance planning team where you, among other things, collaborate with our infrastructure maintenance engineer. Together with the operations team, you will develop how we manage and maintain our assets. You work both strategically and operationally to assess the status of the infrastructure, create maintenance plans, and drive improvements related to operations, maintenance, and reinvestments. A key part of the job is working with key performance indicators (KPIs), sensors, and measurement data to develop more efficient and data-driven maintenance. You will play a vital role in digitalization and new working methods, where increased use of data contributes to better planning and increased operational reliability. We are located in modern premises in Finntorp, near Sickla Köpkvarter with good transport links. Welcome to us!

In this recruitment, we collaborate with Randstad, where recruitment consultant Linda Cooper answers questions about the role and the process ([email protected]). We will conduct ongoing selection and interviews, so do not wait to submit your interest! The application deadline is June 8th.

Responsibilities

  • Plan, develop, and follow up on maintenance and reinvestment plans.
  • Analyze operational disruptions, measurement data, and the status of the infrastructure, and propose improvement measures.
  • Develop working methods within the maintenance of the water and wastewater pipe network.
  • Work with sensors, measured values, and KPIs to improve planning and operational reliability.
  • Ensure quality in maintenance data and documentation in support systems.
  • Collaborate with operations technicians, project managers, contractors, and suppliers.
  • Participate in technical investigations, tenders, and development projects.

Additional Information

  • The position is a permanent full-time employment with start date according to agreement. Probationary period may apply.
  • The position will be security classified, and a security investigation including a security check interview and register control will therefore be conducted prior to employment.

Qualifications

As a Maintenance Engineer, you are analytical, structured, and driven by developing and improving working methods. You thrive in a role where you combine technology, analysis, and improvement work, working independently and methodically. You are good at collaborating and building good relationships with both colleagues and external parties. You communicate clearly and can translate technical documentation and data into concrete improvements that create value for the business. Since the role is new, we are looking for someone who is motivated to help build structures and working methods together with the operations team. You are curious, proactive, and create structure and long-term solutions even in complex contexts.

  • University or university college education in a technical field, such as mechanical engineering, maintenance technology, construction technology, or civil engineering, or alternatively, work experience assessed to meet the requirements for the position.
  • Several years of experience in technical maintenance, operations, or infrastructure activities, where you have worked with planning, follow-up, and improvement of methods and processes.
  • Experience with maintenance support systems.

It is meritorious if you have experience with:

  • Water and wastewater pipe technology and maintenance.
  • Data analysis and measurement value management.
  • Work with sensors and digitized maintenance processes.

To succeed with us, you need to have:

  • Ability to interpret technical problems, data, and statistics and translate analyses into effective solutions.
  • Experience in planning and structuring work, as well as developing working methods within maintenance.
  • Good system proficiency and interest in digital development.
