Together with LKAB, NCC is carrying out extensive earthworks and concrete works related to a new sinter plant in Vitåfors, Gällivare – a project worth approximately 650 MSEK and a key part of the transition towards future fossil-free iron ore processing and iron sponge production. As Project Engineer for Production Management, you will have a role that is close to operations and broad in scope, working closely with the Project Manager, Site Manager, and production organization in an environment where you work close to the operations and are involved in both operational and strategic matters. About the role of Project Engineer for Production Management In this role, you act as a qualified support to the project management and production organization. You work closely with the Project Manager, Site Manager, and other key functions in the project and are responsible for supporting operations within contracts, quality, economics, and project control. A key part of the role is working with construction law issues and ensuring that the project is conducted according to agreements, contracts, and set requirements. You work with contract management, follow-up, and act as support in commercial matters related to the project. The role also involves close collaboration with the project's finance function, where you act as a vital link between production and finance. You provide data and reconciliations from operations in the work with cost calculations, forecasts, and financial follow-up to ensure good project control and oversight through the project's various phases. Quality work is a central part of the position, and you actively work with developing, following up, and ensuring compliance with working methods, routines, and processes in the project. You are also responsible for defining, clarifying, and training the organization in working methods according to legislation, contracts, and NCC's business system. Your profile as Project Engineer for Production Management We are looking for you who have post-secondary education in construction, engineering, or civil engineering, for example as a building engineer or civil engineer, or equivalent experience. You have a few years of experience from the construction or infrastructure industry and have worked in roles related to production, contracts, project control, or construction law. We prefer that you have a technical background and thrive in the intersection between production, economics, and contracts. To succeed in the role, we believe you have:

• Experience with construction law and contract management
• Understanding of production-related work in construction or infrastructure projects
• Experience with financial follow-up, forecasts, and cost calculations
• Good knowledge of quality, environmental, and occupational health and safety requirements
• Ability to work in a structured and methodical manner
• Ability to switch between a holistic perspective and detail level

You thrive in close collaboration with others and have a non-hierarchical working style where you gladly support operations where needed. As a person, you are positive and relationship-building with the ability to create engagement while being clear, structured, and confident in setting requirements when necessary. You communicate fluently in both Swedish and English and master both languages well in speech and writing. Additional information We expect at least 50% presence in Gällivare, a prerequisite for succeeding in the role. However, it is possible to take on this role even for those living elsewhere. The remaining time is preferably spent in a location with an NCC office and/or a location with good opportunities to travel to Gällivare, e.g., Stockholm, Malmö, or Gothenburg.
