Your role

As an NC operator at Saab, you play a central role in the manufacturing of high-precision components for advanced systems. You work in a modern and technically advanced workshop where the focus is on quality, accuracy, and delivery security. Production takes place in short series with great variation, which requires you to be confident in your skills and enjoy a responsible and methodical way of working.

You are involved in the entire manufacturing process - from understanding drawings and requirements to ensuring that the components meet very high quality standards. The work is carried out in close cooperation with colleagues in an engaged team where structure, calmness, and professionalism characterize everyday life, the same professionalism that characterizes Saab as a whole.

Your responsibilities

• Operate and monitor NC lathes and, to some extent, 5-axis milling machines
• Set up, adjust, and compensate machines as needed
• Measure and inspect parts to ensure that tolerance requirements are met
• Work based on drawings, work instructions, and established processes
• Contribute to good order, structure, and a quality-conscious way of working in the workshop

Your profile

Requirements:

• Several years of experience with NC turning
• Experience working with tight tolerances and high-precision parts
• Good proficiency in reading drawings and measuring techniques
• Fluent Swedish in speech and writing

Merits:

• Experience with Okuma machines or other equivalent control systems
• Programming experience, for example in Mastercam
• Experience with high-precision turning in small series
• Background from another precision industry, such as medical technology or aviation

• Working hours: Daytime, shift work may occur
• Employment type: Permanent employment with a six-month probation period
• Security clearance: Conducted prior to potential employment
