About Us

Capio Orthocenter Stockholm is located at Löwenströmska Hospital in Upplands Väsby, close to nature with a view over Lake Fysingen. We have been here for nearly 30 years, albeit in different forms, but for the past few years, we have only performed hip and knee replacements at the clinic. We are a tight-knit team where most employees have stayed for a long time and get along very well. This autumn, a nurse will be on parental leave, so we are looking for a substitute for her for 1 year starting from mid-August. Orientation takes place in August/September.

Your Role

As a nurse on the ward, you work Monday to Friday on day and evening shifts. We have our postoperative ward on the unit where most of the activity revolves around, and we take turns being there. You will conduct admission interviews, prepare patients for surgery, care for them immediately postoperatively with monitoring, pain relief, and mobilization for the first time when the anesthesia wears off. You will also prepare patients for discharge so they feel safe going home.

However, there are no doctors on-site in the evenings, but they can be reached by phone.

About You

We want you to work 100%. You should be good at collaborating and able to step in where needed, as we are only nurses and physiotherapists who share all patient-related tasks. Experience in orthopedics is a plus but not a requirement. It would be nice if you had worked as a nurse for a few years.
