The Urban Environment Administration has overall responsibility for the city's public spaces and collective accessibility. We work to create accessible, attractive, and vibrant urban environments and natural areas. The administration owns and manages the tram network in Gothenburg. Approximately 900 people work at the administration.

The Urban Environment Administration is part of the urban development administrations in the City of Gothenburg. Together, we work to create conditions for functioning infrastructure, high-quality housing and premises, an inviting public environment, and strive for the city to be sustainable from all perspectives.

Job Responsibilities

Do you want to help build Gothenburg? We are now looking for a crane truck driver who wants to work with transportation and lifting operations in Gothenburg's street and park environments.

The Operations Area Infrastructure and Function is the Urban Environment Administration's own operator for maintenance, construction, and infrastructure work in street and park environments. The department is responsible for building, constructing, and maintaining Gothenburg's streets, squares, bus stops, pedestrian and cycle paths, parks, and other outdoor environments.

Examples of tasks include:

• Ground and infrastructure work in street and park environments
• Maintenance and repair work
• Work with surfacing and coatings
• Assembly and handling of materials and equipment

Qualifications

To apply for the position, you need:

• Upper secondary education in transport or infrastructure, or longer professional experience that the employer deems equivalent.
• A valid Class C driving license.
• YKB (Certificate of Professional Competence for professional drivers).

Merits include:

• Professional qualification certificate (Yrkesbevis).
• Competence and experience with sign work, e.g., installation, replacement, and maintenance of road signs and billboards.
