The Company...

Åkerblads is a hotel and guesthouse located in the beautiful Tällberg, Dalarna. The hotel has been owned by the Åkerblad family since the 1400s, and today the 19th to 22nd generations of the Åkerblad family work with a strong team to provide guests with an extraordinary experience.

Experiences are what we convey to our guests, from the moment they check in until they long to return to the sparkling waters of Lake Siljan.

We strive to be unique with our product – perhaps that is why the hotel currently has 73 unique and personally furnished rooms. The restaurant works with locally produced ingredients and personal flavors, for both conference guests and weekend visitors.

The hotel is currently classified as a four-star hotel and has its sights set on continuous development, where quality is one of the cornerstones. Our spa department consists of three therapy rooms, one duo treatment room, a hydrotherapy bath, and a spa suite with its own jacuzzi and sauna. Together with the newly added pool area featuring a pool, hydro-massage pool, and outdoor pool, we also have a well-equipped gym and exclusive changing rooms with a sauna.

Dry and wet rooms and a pool bar are also new additions to our spa.

Your Responsibilities...

As Spa Manager, you have a driving role and lead the work in our spa department. In addition to performing treatments, you will be responsible for ensuring therapists are available for booked treatments, and that treatment rooms are clean and fresh. You will work closely with our reception, as treatment bookings are handled there. You also hold the ultimate responsibility for ensuring this part of the hotel maintains the same high standard as the rest of the property. As part of your role as Spa Manager, you will be included in the company's management group and work closely with the owner family. The role also involves scheduling, responsibility and task distribution to therapists, budget planning, purchasing, and inventory.

The majority of working time is dedicated to treatments.

We see that your formal background is as an authorized skin therapist and/or spa therapist with approved education (SHR and CIDESCO). We would prefer that you have experience working in a leadership position in a similar field. You have experience in spa, wellness, or health. It is important that you can take initiative and are willing to work weekends and major holidays.
