Warehouse Supervisor for Central Warehouse in Skövde
Avfall & Återvinning Skaraborg is a municipal association with Essunga, Falköping, Hjo, Grästorp, Gullspång, Götene, Karlsborg, Mariestad, Skara, Skövde, Tibro, Töreboda, and Vara municipalities as members. Our main task is to manage the collection and treatment of household waste. We are a politically governed organization with board members from the member municipalities.
We are now looking for a Warehouse Supervisor for our new central warehouse in Skövde. The purpose is to ensure order, traceability, and delivery security in the central warehouse through efficient warehouse management, good working environment, and functioning processes for the receipt and dispatch of materials for Avfall & Återvinning Skaraborg related to building-near collection.

Job Responsibilities
The Warehouse Supervisor is responsible for the daily operation of the warehouse, including receiving, storage, picking, and dispatch. The role also involves establishing and following up on routines for warehouse management, inventory, and deviation handling, as well as ensuring that occupational health and safety requirements are met. You plan the warehouse layout, label storage locations, and work with min/max levels to ensure readiness. You collaborate closely with operations/collection, recycling centers, purchasing, and customer-facing functions to ensure the right material is in the right place at the right time.
Qualifications
Requirements for the position:
- Documented experience in warehouse work, preferably in a responsible role.
- Experience working systematically with inbound/outbound deliveries, picking, and inventory.
- Good understanding of warehouse logic: FIFO, storage locations, article structure, balance, deviation handling.
- Forklift license, B and C driver's licenses.
- Good proficiency in Swedish, both spoken and written.
Meritorious qualifications:
- Experience in establishing/implementing routines, 5S, or similar order standards.
- Experience with warehouse management systems (WMS/ERP).
- Experience from municipal operations, logistics, waste, and recycling.
- Experience handling bulky goods (e.g., containers, pallets, volumetric materials).
- Knowledge of occupational health and safety work (e.g., risk assessments, safety rounds, incident reporting).

You also have good communication skills and experience collaborating with other functions.
