About the Role

The role of Junior Material Planner is perfect for you if you are a recent graduate eager to develop within purchasing, material planning, and production – preferably with prior experience from industry, logistics, or procurement. Here you will have a varied and operational role where you are responsible for the material supply to production through requirement planning, orders, and delivery monitoring. You will have daily contact with both suppliers and internal functions such as production and purchasing, work proactively with forecasts and rescheduling, and help solve material-related challenges directly in the business. The role also offers the opportunity to participate in projects, work with business systems, and contribute to continuous improvements in the supply chain.

Responsibilities

• Be responsible for requirement planning, orders, and delivery monitoring of materials to production.
• Have daily contact with suppliers as well as internal departments such as purchasing, production, and goods receiving.
• Work with rescheduling and follow-up to ensure good material supply and delivery precision.
• Handle master data, forecasts, invoices, and material-related deviations in the business system.

We are looking for you who

• Have a relevant post-secondary education in economics, purchasing, industrial economics, or another direction deemed relevant for the role.
• Have prior experience working in purchasing or production.
• Can communicate fluently in Swedish and English, both verbally and in writing, as these languages are used in daily work.
• Have good computer skills and good knowledge of the Office package.
• Hold a B-driver's license and have access to a car.

It is an advantage if you have:

• Experience working with business systems.
• Experience within manufacturing industry.
• Live in Umeå.
