This staffing assignment is a collaboration between Manpower and DFDS. You will be employed by Manpower but work on-site at DFDS.

Location: Gothenburg
Working hours: Evening shifts, Monday - Thursday: 14:55 - 23:40 and Friday: 13:25 - 22:10
Employment type: On-call/As needed. We would prefer that you are available to work full-time during the summer.

About the job
As a terminal operator at DFDS, you will perform standard tasks associated with terminal operations. The work can be varied as you may work across several different departments.

Tasks may include:

• Delivery and pickup of goods
• Forklift operation, primarily counterbalance
• Loading and unloading of goods; a significant amount of work takes place outdoors
• Other tasks related to terminal operations

Since much of the cargo is large and heavy, we prefer that you have good experience with counterbalance forklifts so that you feel confident operating them. A driving test may be required. Some work is manual, which requires good physical fitness and comfort with physical labor.

Are you the right fit for the role?
This position is suitable for someone who enjoys working with their whole body and thrives in a fast-paced environment. It is also important that you take responsibility for your work. Daily operations require you to be stress-resistant, self-motivated, and genuinely committed to doing a good job!

We are looking for someone who has:

• Forklift license A1-A4 and B1-B4
• Another main occupation of at least 50%
• Good understanding of Swedish, both spoken and written
• Good understanding of English, both spoken and written
• Forklift experience after completing forklift training, preferably counterbalance (B1)

It is also an advantage if you have:

• Previous experience with similar tasks
• A driver's license and access to a car
• Other warehouse and industrial experience
