About the Role

We are currently seeking experienced forklift drivers for our client at the Port of Gothenburg. This position is ideal for you who have extensive experience in forklift operation and thrive in a fast-paced and varied work environment. You will become part of an operation where safety, responsibility, and efficiency are key components of daily work.

The position is initially for the summer period, but there are good opportunities for extension after the summer for the right candidate. The work involves shift patterns including both day and evening shifts, which requires flexibility regarding working hours.

Responsibilities

The work primarily consists of operating counterbalance forklifts in a port environment, handling the loading, unloading, and movement of cargo. You will handle various types of materials and work at a high pace where precision and safety are crucial.

Tasks may vary depending on operational needs, and work in different environments may occur. Experience operating reach trucks is highly meritorious. Some manual handling may be part of the daily work.

Working hours are scheduled for day shifts 06:45–15:45 and evening shifts Monday to Thursday 15:30–23:45, and Fridays 15:30–22:00.

Profile & Background

We are looking for you who have at least three years of experience operating counterbalance forklifts and feel confident in your forklift skills even in stressful and intensive environments. You are a driven and engaged person who takes responsibility for your work and enjoys working both independently and as part of a team.

You need to be flexible, have a strong work ethic, and be able to adapt to the needs of the operation. A valid forklift license, a category B driver's license, and access to a car are required, as the working hours may make it difficult to commute via public transport. Experience from port operations or as a reach truck driver is highly meritorious.
