About the role
As a Facility Host at Axis Communications, you will play a central role in ensuring that the company's premises are well-functioning, safe, and pleasant for everyone who works there. You will be an important part of the daily work to keep operations running smoothly – from solving practical problems to contributing to a well-maintained and functional work environment.
You will belong to the Real Estate and Facilities Technical Operations department, which is responsible for the operation and maintenance of Axis properties on the campus in Lund. Here, you will work together with other facility hosts, operations technicians, and technical managers in a team where collaboration and service are central. Together, you are responsible for ensuring that the premises maintain a high standard and that any issues are handled quickly and efficiently.
The role is varied and combines practical work with coordination and contact with both internal employees and external suppliers. You are often the first to notice when something needs to be addressed and take the initiative to find a solution – sometimes by solving it yourself and sometimes by coordinating the right resources.
This is a role for you who enjoy working independently, like taking responsibility, and appreciate a workday where no two days are exactly alike. At the same time, you will become part of an engaged team that works together to create a well-functioning and inspiring work environment for everyone at Axis.
Responsibilities
The role involves being the face of Facilities in the buildings, where you proactively identify and rectify deficiencies in the premises. You coordinate with internal and external parties to maintain a high standard in our premises. Some examples of tasks include:
- Handle, execute, and follow up on fault reports in the case management system
- Troubleshoot and rectify simple technical problems in the building
- Perform minor repairs and practical tasks in the premises
- Assemble furniture and equipment
- Coordinate and order services from external contractors
- Conduct rounds and work proactively to minimize operational disruptions
We are looking for someone who
- Has practical experience working with troubleshooting, simple repairs, and installations within real estate
- Is accustomed to working in digital systems
- Has very good knowledge of Swedish and English, both spoken and written
- Has a valid driver's license (Category B)
It is an advantage if you have
- Experience from facility services or real estate operations
- Experience working in facility systems or case management systems

- About the assignment: You will be employed by Academic Work on a 12-month consulting assignment, with a good opportunity for permanent hire
