About us

The Infrastructure Projects Unit is part of the Community Planning Office. In addition to the unit manager and project coordinator, five construction project managers work at the Infrastructure Projects Unit. You will join a well-functioning organization where we value good collaboration and good results. Within the unit, we are non-hierarchical, support each other, and develop together. About the role

As a Construction Project Manager, you are involved in the entire construction process and are responsible for the development of public land. You work with continuously monitoring the economy and schedules of projects in all their parts, from preliminary studies/design, implementation, up to handover. You are the one who drives and leads both the project and its members forward. In the detailed planning phase, you monitor the technical issues in the project and ensure the implementation of the plan. In the implementation phase, you are responsible for designing, procuring contractors, and building out the municipal facilities.

The role of Construction Project Manager involves many contact points. You will collaborate closely with other units and departments within the Community Planning Office, as well as other offices within the municipality. In addition, you will have contact with external parties, such as clients. You are the client for consulting services and contracts. You also represent the municipality as a contact person in meetings with authorities and other stakeholders.

Are you the one we are looking for?

We are looking for you who have:

• A degree in Civil Engineering in Community Planning or Civil Engineering in Road and Water Construction.
• Experience as a project manager within infrastructure. The experience should come from working in a client organization. Your experience can be from consulting assignments in a client organization as well as being employed.
• Good knowledge of contract law.
• Experience from project management with procured consultants and contractors according to industry standard agreements.

The following are meritorious:

• Experience from the contracting industry.
• Worked as a designer in infrastructure projects, for example with streets, landscape, water and sewage, utility coordination, or other relevant technical areas.
• Worked as a design manager in one or more infrastructure projects.
• Worked as the client's construction manager in one or more infrastructure projects.

As a person, you are structured and lead the project towards set goals. Furthermore, you are collaborative, which for us means that you communicate with the project group and the surroundings. We also believe that you need to be solution-oriented to fit the role, and handle problems in projects in a smooth and constructive way.
