Bergslagens Artillery Regiment, A 9, is an army unit that, following a decision by the Riksdag (Swedish Parliament), will be re-established as part of the work to strengthen Sweden's defense.
The unit currently has approximately 185 employees, which will be expanded to approximately 250 by December 31, 2030, when the unit is to be fully established.
A 9 trains artillery battalions for the army's field forces, consisting of conscripts, contracted soldiers (continuous and temporary service), specialist officers, and officers. From 2030, A 9 will train approximately 350 conscripts per year.
Main Responsibilities
You will support Department G26, collaborating with parts of A 9's other staff and units regarding security protection service, intelligence service, and command and communication service.
You are part of a work team tasked with ensuring that A 9 maintains and disseminates an up-to-date situation picture regarding the intelligence situation and threat picture against its own operations.
The work involves travel within the country, war posting, and potential international service.
Duties for G26 Assistant:
- Standard assistant duties, which may include among other things:
- IT orders and orders for mobile phone services.
- RAKEL programming.
- Assist with access rights allocation for access control systems and key management.
- "Ground service" and bookings when the department conducts meetings and training.
- Minute-taking at meetings.
- Assisting in training for command systems.
- Materiel responsibility for G26.
- Assisting in security vetting.
- Assisting in compiling and distributing the intelligence situation in the area.
Requirements/Qualifications
- Completed military service, highly merited. Military service must be at least General Base (GB) level.
- Good knowledge of English and Swedish, both spoken and written.
- Familiarity with the Swedish Armed Forces' command systems.
- Good administrative IT skills.
- Driver's license, class B or higher.

Merits
- Familiarity with or experience of AF command systems, e.g., LSS-Mark, Citaware, etc.
- Completed basic training in signal security/certificate management within the Swedish Armed Forces.
- Language skills in addition to Swedish and English.
- Military service permit.
Other
Employment type: GSS/K, according to the GSS agreement. The Swedish Armed Forces apply a six-month probationary period for those not already employed by the agency.

Work location: Kristinehamn
The work involves some domestic business trips and occasional overnight stays.
Working conditions usually involve a 40-hour work week, but sometimes occur at irregular times, e.g., during training conditions.

The Government and the Riksdag have tasked the Swedish Armed Forces with strengthening Sweden's defense capability, in a time of uncertain global developments. Bergslagens Artillery Regiment, A 9, is therefore to be re-established in Kristinehamn. The regiment will contribute to increased geographical presence, training of conscripts, and thereby the development of artillery capability in southern Sweden.
