Field Technician

OmniPlus Field Service is one of our newer services within Daimler Buses Sverige AB. The purpose of this role is for you to act as the company's extended arm in the market, offering more customers our professional service. The role primarily covers Southern Sweden, but work may also occur in other parts of the country. Our headquarters are located in Vetlanda, where our internal training department is also based, meaning extensive travel to this location during the startup phase. You will be provided with your own service vehicle and receive thorough training from our internal trainers. Training may also take place in Germany. You will be based from home or a local office in your area in Southern Sweden.

Your Role

Key responsibilities include:

• Performing service and troubleshooting on buses for our customers, both planned and urgent.
• Providing support to our service network when needed.
• Performing administrative tasks, such as creating work orders and warranty requests.
• Executing action and campaign work at customer sites and with service partners.
• Supporting and performing minor repairs during new vehicle deliveries at customer sites.
• Working both independently and in a team, requiring comfort with a high degree of personal responsibility.
• On-call duties may apply.

Who Are You?

To thrive and succeed in this role, we believe you have:

• An automotive technical education or equivalent knowledge. Experience with spare parts and buses is considered an asset.
• A genuine technical interest and previous experience repairing heavy vehicles.
• Computer and system proficiency. Experience with SAP, BusDoc, and VeDOC is an asset, as is knowledge of refrigerants and high voltage.
• Good communication skills in Swedish and English. German is an asset.
• A valid B-driver's license. C and D licenses are an asset.
