Skrotfrag is now looking for a Yard Manager for our branch in Gislaved. There, you will become part of a dynamic workplace that recycles with care and is in constant development.

About the Role

As a Yard Manager, you have a central and practical role at the branch. You work closely with the Branch Manager and are responsible for the daily operational work on the yard. This means combining leadership with receiving customers, operating machinery, and working on the yard.

Your Main Responsibilities

• Leadership: Distribute tasks, support staff, and ensure everyone follows safety and environmental regulations.
• Operational Responsibility: Lead the daily work on the yard, optimize material flows, and ensure efficient production.
• Customer Reception: Receive customers who come to scrap their cars or sell their scrap.
• Machinery Operation: Handle wheel loaders, excavators with shears/grapples, and other common machines for sorting and handling scrap.
• Yard Work: Handle grading and sort materials.
• Maintenance: Be responsible for the daily maintenance of machines and equipment.

Your Profile

We are looking for someone who currently works in industry, logistics, or recycling and wants to take the next step in their professional career. If you are a person who is not afraid to get your hands dirty when needed, unpretentious, positive, and have a strong sense of responsibility and service, you are the one we are looking for.

• Requirements: At least a high school diploma, Category B driver's license.
• Competence: Good knowledge of Swedish in speech and writing, as well as familiarity with the Office package and experience in administrative work.
• Merits: Education in environment/logistics or experience in metal recycling, operator's license for wheel loaders and/or forklift license.
