We are looking for a Project Manager for Kista Science City, a central player in Sweden's tech and innovation landscape. Here you will find a role in the middle of a dynamic ecosystem where research, business, and entrepreneurship meet.

The role is broad and developmental, focusing on supporting several programs and initiatives aimed at small and medium-sized technology companies. You will work closely with program managers within areas such as internationalization, cybersecurity, and defense, contributing to creating real value for these companies.

You will step into a function that connects multiple projects and programs, with a focus on understanding the companies' needs and translating them into concrete activities, collaborations, and business opportunities. The role involves both operational execution and a more relationship-driven work where you build trust with company leadership.

This is a direct recruitment, meaning Wrknest handles the recruitment process but you will be employed directly by Kista Science City.

In this role, you will work broadly across several initiatives and projects, focusing on creating value for participating companies and ensuring that activities are carried out with high quality.

You will, for example:

• Lead and execute events, workshops, seminars, and international trips
• Coordinate activities related to programs such as internationalization and cybersecurity
• Maintain ongoing dialogue with technology companies and support them in their development and needs
• Identify relevant companies and match them with the right contacts, customers, or investors
• Collaborate with external partners, project groups, and funders
• Be responsible for follow-up and reporting in projects, including EU or publicly funded initiatives
• Contribute to project communication together with the communications manager

The work involves many contact surfaces, both internally and externally. You will become an important part of creating effective meetings and dialogues between the right parties and stakeholders.

Requirements:

• University degree or equivalent
• Approximately 2–5 years of relevant work experience
• Great and genuine interest in technology companies, startups, and innovation-driven environments
• Experience in project management, preferably within events or program operations
• Very good communication skills in Swedish and English, both spoken and written

Meritorious:

• Experience working within startup or scaleup ecosystems
• Experience with EU-funded or publicly funded projects
• International experience or work in international collaborations
• Experience coordinating projects with multiple stakeholders

As a person, you are curious, receptive, and relationship-building. You feel comfortable in dialogue with, for example, CEOs and other decision-makers, and have the ability to understand and immerse yourself in the needs of different companies. You take initiative, are unpretentious, and thrive in a role where the frameworks are sometimes flexible and develop over time.
