Test Manager to Traffic Administration – Incident Management

We are looking for an experienced Test Manager/Tester for a long-term assignment within the Traffic Administration, Region Stockholm. The assignment concerns the product area Incident Management, where the team manages and further develops an internal system that contributes to a safe operating environment within public transport.

The system is used in connection with terminals and subway stations and is intended to support, among others, traffic controllers and alarm operators. The role suits you who are self-motivated, technically curious, and confident in both test management and practical testing work in agile development teams.

About the role

As a Test Manager, you will become an important part of a smaller DevOps team with close collaboration between developers, product owners, and external projects. You are responsible for planning, leading, and coordinating quality assurance work, as well as contributing hands-on to the testing of the system.

You will, among other things:

• Plan, lead, and coordinate testing and quality assurance work
• Develop test strategy, test plans, and test cases
• Lead and coach the team in testing and quality
• Participate in requirements work with a focus on testability and quality
• Design and conduct smoke tests, integration tests, regression tests, and E2E tests
• Test backend and web-based systems as well as APIs
• Work with troubleshooting, incident management, and technical analysis in integrated system environments
• Test integrations between IT and OT environments, for example communication via OPC-UA
• Maintain test environments and, if necessary, work with test equipment related to OT
• Report, follow up, and handle deviations
• Update test documentation continuously

We are looking for someone who has

• At least 8 years of current experience as a tester or test manager
• At least 5 years of experience in test management, test strategy, test planning, and coordination of test execution
• At least 5 years of experience in testing within agile software development, preferably in DevOps teams
• Experience in testing backend and web-based systems as well as APIs
• Experience in troubleshooting, incident management, and technical analysis in system environments with multiple integrations and dependencies
• At least 1 year of experience in testing with integrations within IT/OT environments, for example with OPC-UA, within the last five years
• University degree, or equivalent experience, in computer science or a related field
• ISTQB Foundation Level, ISTQB Agile Tester, or equivalent certification
• Good command of Swedish in speech and writing

Meritorious

It is meritorious if you have experience with:

• Testing work involving sensitive information
• Work within regions, authorities, or other public operations
• FAT and SAT tests within construction or infrastructure projects
• Jira, Xray, and Confluence
• Swagger
• Non-functional tests, such as performance tests
• Security aspects such as authentication and access controls

As a person

You are structured, communicative, and self-motivated. You thrive in a smaller team where you can both take responsibility for test management and contribute practically to the testing work yourself. You have good collaboration skills, are pedagogical, and can create clarity regarding quality, risks, deviations, and test status.
