We at Wallenius Marine are now looking for a Junior Marine Engineer for the vessel Don Juan. Don Juan is a classic Ro-Ro vessel that sails to various parts of the world and consists of a great team on board. Don Juan is chartered by the Japanese company Seven Seals and operates in and between Asia, Tanzania, and Kenya.

About the position

The position of Junior Marine Engineer on board Don Juan involves variety, problem-solving, and collaboration with your other colleagues in the engine room. This position can be perfect for you if you are relatively newly graduated, or alternatively have prior experience.

In the position, you will have varied tasks, such as:

• Operation and monitoring
• Safety and documentation
• Maintenance and repair
• Technical support to the other marine engineers on board

On board Don Juan, both Filipino and Swedish crew members work. As we have a mixed crew, we speak English on board.

Conditions

• The position is a permanent employment, starting with a standard probation period
• Contract length: approx. 8 weeks
• Start date by agreement. The position may be filled before the application deadline

Requirements

Requirements for the position are:

• Qualification as a Junior Marine Engineer
• Valid certificates and documents for the position in accordance with STCW Manila
• Good knowledge of English - being able to express yourself both verbally and in writing
