Job Description
We are looking for a System and Application Manager who will proactively work on identifying and monitoring new opportunities with a strategic and forward-looking focus. In this role, you will drive initiatives that add value, improve system processes, and promote business development, both independently and in various forms of collaboration. Acting as a support in ongoing projects and leading smaller assignments within your area of responsibility is part of the role.

You will work together with other system and application managers as well as DevOps specialists in a newly formed team. Initially, you will have primary responsibility for supporting two delivery teams that develop applications in C# and React, hosted on Windows. The team works closely together to ensure continuity regardless of who is present. Collaboration also takes place with the management team, the business unit, platform and infrastructure teams, and the IT security department.

The in-house developed systems are built in C++, C#, or Python and are hosted on Linux, Windows, or Kubernetes. Since the business has high security requirements, we primarily work with on-premises solutions.

For CI/CD, we use Azure DevOps (with plans for GitLab in the future), Argo CD, Artifactory, JFrog Xray, SonarQube, and Git. Tools for log management, monitoring, and observability include OP5, Prometheus, Loki, and Grafana. For automation, Ansible, Terraform, and Helm are available.

The focus of the assignment lies in technical, coordinating, and administrative work, with the possibility of automation work if you have competence in this area. We do not expect you to have deep competence in all the technologies we use, but rather that the team together possesses this knowledge and that you have a willingness to develop in areas you do not master today.

Examples of tasks:

• Contribute to the formulation of the long-term maintenance plan.
• Lead and ensure progress in major change initiatives.
• Ensure the operation of the maintenance object's IT systems, including incident, problem, and change processes according to ITIL.
• Handle questions related to technical system requirements and system operation.
• Handle orders against other parts of the IT organization.
• Plan, coordinate, and execute upgrades, releases, and tests.
• Be responsible for documentation, routines, and permission structures.
• Ensure compliance with security requirements and regulations.
• Act as a contact person for suppliers and external parties.
• Drive competence sharing within the team and to the delivery team.
• Assist DevOps specialists in their technical work (based on ability).

Requirements:

1. At least 15 years of work experience as a System and Application Manager or other similar roles such as System Administrator or Maintenance Manager, providing competence in configuration, operation, and maintenance of applications and systems, as well as a good understanding of IT infrastructure and IT security.
2. Alternatively: At least 12 years of relevant work experience in the aforementioned roles plus a university/college education comprising at least 120 credits/180 ECTS in IT or other relevant equivalent education.
3. At least 4 years of work experience in the role of System and Application Manager within the last 8 years, with responsibility for both purchased and in-house developed business-critical and complex applications or systems. Work should have been conducted according to a defined governance model (e.g., Pm3).
4. At least 10 years of work experience in configuration, deployment, and troubleshooting on Windows Server for applications and associated SQL databases.
5. At least 10 years of work experience in scripting programming in a Windows environment, e.g., with Powershell or Python.
6. At least 10 years of work experience in configuring monitoring, observability, and log management, e.g., with OP5, Loki, Grafana, or Prometheus.
7. At least 4 years of work experience from a business with very high IT security requirements and associated processes.
8. At least 4 years of work experience working in an agile team with agile methods and tool support such as Azure DevOps or Jira.
9. Good written and oral communication skills in Swedish and English.
