About your role

As a Department Manager, you are responsible for driving sales and creating profitability on your department, as well as ensuring that campaigns and activities are carried out with high quality. You are where the action is – supporting the team on a daily basis and leading by example by representing Åhléns values in everything you do.

Our customers should be met by engaged and service-oriented Sales Associates with good product knowledge.

As a Department Manager, your responsibilities include:

• Creating the best experience for the guest on your department by ensuring that the customer meeting aligns with Åhléns service concept.
• Developing a well-functioning team that is passionate about Åhléns and sales through coaching and present leadership.
• Ensuring that your area of responsibility is staffed with the right number of people and the right competencies to achieve the department's overall goals.
• Developing the skills of direct reports to achieve their role goals and providing opportunities for growth within Åhléns.
• Delivering results in line with the department's goals and key figures based on business acumen.
• Actively participating in, evaluating, interpreting, and communicating relevant information to employees within the department.
• Investigating, risk-assessing, planning, implementing, and following up on the working environment within your area of responsibility.

In the role of Department Manager, you work towards annual, monthly, and daily goals for sales and customer satisfaction, and assist the Store Manager in workplace meetings, sales planning, and union collaboration.

Your team

You will become part of a passionate team and collaborate primarily within your store with the Store Manager, another Department Manager, Sales Associates, and Visual Merchandisers. You have personnel responsibility for approximately 10 people. In addition to the store team, you also have an HR Partner and Regional Manager to assist you.

What you bring to us:

• At least a few years of experience in a leadership position in sales, preferably within retail.
• Experience in leading and developing teams.
• Experience in improvement work and habit of working goal-oriented with a focus on key figures.

The role of Department Manager involves a lot of independent work, and we place great emphasis on your leadership skills and personal maturity. You are proactive and structured, with a strong ability to prioritize in a busy everyday life. You are a present leader who inspires others through clear communication and energetic drive. About the recruitment

The position is a permanent full-time employment of 38.25 hours/week. We would like you to be able to start with us as agreed.
