Who is First Camp?

Our goal is clear – to become the world's leading camping chain, which naturally requires our lawns to be well-mowed, all lights to shine, and for us to constantly care for both the big picture and the details. Our destinations would have fallen into disrepair without our caretakers, making it an incredibly important role at every location!

What does the role involve?

As a Caretaker at First Camp, you are responsible for the daily maintenance of the destination. This includes everything from mowing the lawn and changing light bulbs to simpler carpentry work and property maintenance. You also handle guest reports of issues, where your service mindset and ability to step in quickly make a big difference. With a positive and solution-oriented attitude, you create safety and comfort for everyone who visits us.

At its core, your duties include general caretaker tasks, but we also expect you to be flexible and support other areas when needed. We always work with the guests' needs at the center, and as part of our team, you contribute to meeting and solving everyday challenges.

Who are we looking for?

We prefer that you have previous experience in caretaking or property maintenance, although this is not a requirement. You are handy, enjoy physical work, and appreciate varied workdays. With an eye for detail and the ability to quickly adapt to new situations, you are good at creating an overview and prioritizing tasks. You see solutions where others see problems and are always ready to deliver that little extra for our guests.

As a person, you are positive and helpful, enjoy being yourself, and appreciate a good team spirit. If you have education in a relevant field, it is an advantage but not a requirement. We expect you to communicate well in Swedish or English to handle instructions and greet guests in a pleasant and professional manner.

Conditions

We are looking for employees for the summer season with varying hours (20–40 hours/week). Working hours may include early mornings, evenings, and weekends in accordance with the Hotel and Restaurant Union's collective agreement.
