AkzoNobel Adhesives has been manufacturing wood adhesives and resin systems in Kristinehamn since 1962. The products are used, among other things, in the manufacture of furniture, joinery, flooring, and load-bearing structures. AkzoNobel Adhesives is primarily a production facility where our employees have various roles, such as process operators, logistics and service operators, as well as a range of support functions within R&D, engineering, quality, and customer service. Large volumes of wood adhesives and resins are delivered from the Kristinehamn factory to customers all over the world.

What will you work with?

In this role, you are an important part of our maintenance organization, focusing on creating long-term operational reliability in production. You have a holistic perspective on machine function and availability and contribute both operationally and developmentally within maintenance work. The role involves close collaboration with maintenance colleagues and other support functions to ensure safe and efficient operation throughout the factory.

Your main responsibilities

  • Troubleshooting & repair of technical equipment at the facility.
  • Preventive & corrective maintenance to ensure high operational reliability.
  • Perform maintenance and supervision of our steam production system.
  • Perform simpler machine machining and mechanical constructions.
  • Administration and reporting in the maintenance system after completed service and fault correction.
  • On-call duties are included in the position

The position is permanent and full-time with immediate start. You are based at our site in Kristinehamn and report to the Mechanical Maintenance Manager. The role includes on-call duties every fifth week.

Who are you?

We are looking for you who have a three-year workshop technology education or equivalent work experience, along with experience in welding and basic computer skills.

You thrive in a practical and technical role where you take responsibility and work systematically with troubleshooting and problem-solving. Even when the pace is fast, you maintain focus and act methodically. You enjoy collaborating with others, sharing your expertise with the group, and working with a clear safety focus in everything you do.

You have basic knowledge of welding, turning, and milling.

You have good knowledge of Swedish and English, both spoken and written.

It is an advantage if you also have:

  • Previous experience in troubleshooting and repairs within the process industry.
  • Some form of welding license.
