WORK RESPONSIBILITIES
As an employee in the home care service, you work closely with people and provide support in each person's daily life. You perform care and support tasks for clients in their own homes, a personal and varied environment. This can range from accompanying on walks to personal care, as well as cooking and performing health and medical tasks on delegation. You work primarily independently, but some tasks are done together with your colleagues. To move between different clients, you use a bicycle or car.
As an employee in the short-term unit, you provide daily support to clients who have temporary or recurring needs for help and support in a residential setting. This can range from taking a walk with good company, administering medication, to providing rehabilitative efforts so that the client can return to their regular home. Your efforts provide security and meaning for our elderly in the municipality.
Working hours are varied and scheduled. You can work days, evenings, and weekends. We also have night shifts. Exact times vary depending on where you are working.
The job also involves documenting in our operational systems within the respective operational areas.
Working within social services means you perform care and support measures according to the Social Services Act and, on delegation, measures according to the Health and Medical Services Act.
You will receive a good introduction with shadowing, all to create a sense of security for you when performing your duties with us this summer.
We are hiring continuously during spring and early summer and offer varying degrees of employment.
QUALIFICATIONS
We are looking for someone who enjoys working with people and sees the individual and their right to self-determination. The individual's needs are at the center, and it is important that you are there as support and do not take over what the client can do themselves. Your support should contribute to participation in society. As a person, we expect you to be empathetic and have a sense of when to step forward or stay in the background; being attentive is important. You have personal maturity, high integrity, and a professional and respectful approach that always strives for the best possible interaction. We place great emphasis on personal suitability.
You have the ability to work both independently and in close collaboration with colleagues or relatives, which means you are adaptable and flexible in your approach.
To work within the operations:
- You must be at least 18 years old.
- Have a B driver's license; a B license is not a requirement for the Short-Term Unit.
- You must master the Swedish language in speech and writing; additional languages are meritorious.
- It is meritorious if you are trained as an assistant nurse (undersköterska).

It is meritorious if you are currently studying/educated as an assistant nurse or educator, or have work experience within care and support.
Stenungsund Municipality offers you as an applicant:

Employment type: Summer job / Vacation work.
Duration: 3-6 months.
