Job Description
To our client, we are now looking for an experienced Project Manager (consultancy assignment 6-7 months)
About the Assignment
As Lead for Program Support for Strategic Initiatives, you are key to both establishing and leading the program support function. The goal is for the programs to receive the right support to achieve their goals, while we maintain order and clarity in follow-up and reporting. The role is both tactical and operational – you lead the group, but are also practically involved in facilitation, analysis, administration, reporting, prioritization, and impact follow-up support. In the network team for the program support function, there are also e.g., Controllers and Communicators, as well as support for reporting and resource planning.
You are expected to be driving and developmental, act proactively and constructively, and have a strong desire to create order and clarity, serve, simplify, and improve the work for programs, management, and operations. The role is located within the Department of Digital Transformation & Architecture at the Digital and IT unit.
Responsibilities
As Lead Program Support, you are responsible for:
- Supporting program governance and holding the whole together.
- Establishing and developing common structures, principles, and ways of working for program support so that strategic initiatives are managed and followed up in a unified manner.
- Contributing to initiatives such as New Channels, CRM, Data & AI, Accelerate SAK, and digital transformation working together and reinforcing each other.
- Ensuring quality and coordination in implementation.
- Supporting program managers in handling risks, dependencies, and trade-offs, so that program plans are realistic and coordinated.
- Working for uniform standards for reporting, follow-up, and decision support.
- Leading the program support group.
- Planning, leading, and following up on the work of the program support group.
- Ensuring that the group's work is coordinated, prioritized, and delivered according to plan.
- Creating a climate where you together develop the function, test new ways of working, and continuously improve.
- Leading and coordinating the program's support areas.
- Leading deliveries within the areas included in program support, e.g., financial control, reporting, capacity planning, dependency management, and impact realization.
- Ensuring these are carried out on time and in line with overall goals for strategic initiatives.
- Developing methodology and ways of working.
- Utilizing existing methodology and established processes, but also further developing them where needed for increased efficiency and clarity.
- Simplifying where possible – with a focus on creating the most value with the smallest possible common denominator.
- Supporting management and stakeholders with facts and decision support.
- Producing overviews, analyses, and decision support that help management and steering groups prioritize correctly between initiatives.
- Contributing to a consolidated overall picture of progress, resources, risks, and effects.
- Building bridges between portfolios, LACE, and programs.
- Identifying and leveraging synergies between common portfolio capabilities and the individual programs' need for support – e.g., within communication, financial control, and reporting.
- Ensuring that program support is perceived as value-creating and supportive of operations.
Examples of Deliverables
In the role, you are responsible for, among other things:
- Coordinating call-out, prioritization, and decision support for strategic initiatives.
- Ensuring coordinated reporting for initiatives, with clear and comparable data.
- Producing and maintaining synchronized plans and dependency management for strategic initiatives.
- Coordinating staffing plans to handle capacity, key competencies, and risks related to resource availability.
- Contributing to the follow-up of effects and benefits – e.g., related to increased customer benefit, efficiency, digital resilience, and effects of AI and channel initiatives.
Experience and Competence
We would like you to have:
- Several years of experience in project management, PMO/program support, portfolio management, or similar in a large and complex organization.
- Documented experience leading teams or work groups, preferably in a matrix organization with many stakeholders.
- Good understanding of strategic change and digitalization initiatives.
- Experience with governance, follow-up, and reporting related to programs or projects.
- Experience in producing overviews, analyses, and decision support for management and steering groups.
