Orthopaedic Care Unit A and B, Orthopaedic Department, Höglandssjukhuset Eksjö

The Orthopaedic Department at Höglandssjukhuset is now looking for a nurse for Orthopaedic Care Unit A and B. Do you want a job with great variety, continuous development in your professional role, and to be part of a well-functioning team? Then you are welcome to join us!

The Role of the Nurse

In your role as the primary caregiver for orthopaedic patients, you will work with a variety of injuries, ranging from minor injuries to major trauma, as well as elective patients treated according to rapid recovery protocols. As a nurse with us, you will enjoy natural variety and broad expertise within orthopaedics, as you rotate between the department's two wards.

The position is a permanent full-time employment with shifts during days, evenings, and weekends. Some night shifts may be discussed.

Your Future Workplace

The care unit consists of two wards: Ward A for patients with acute orthopaedic conditions requiring admission for treatment, and Ward B for elective surgery. We use a structured approach to develop our care processes and work on continuous improvements.

At the orthopaedic department, we operate on the principle that everyone should be met with respect and a positive attitude, whether you are a patient or a colleague. We constantly work on improvements and further development of care based on new and evidence-based knowledge in collaboration with our patients. Both patients and employees should feel well-informed, secure, and involved. We contribute to a good life in an attractive region.

Region Jönköping County is building for the future of healthcare and investing heavily in Höglandssjukhuset. The entire orthopaedic department is located in the newly built House 37 in new, fresh, and well-adapted premises that we are proud of.

Your Profile

We are looking for you who are a licensed nurse and thrive in a varied work environment. As a person, you are humble, meticulous, structured, and take responsibility for your tasks, driving them forward independently. It is also important to us that you have a positive and professional attitude towards your tasks and your colleagues. Personal suitability is given great weight.

What We Offer You

You will become part of a team consisting of assistant nurses, physiotherapists, occupational therapists, and doctors, where we value each other and our respective knowledge and have a good camaraderie. With us, you will have a job where you have the opportunity to help develop our operations while developing yourself in your role as a nurse.

Education is a natural part of our culture, and we believe that a good introduction is the key to good well-being. The unit's team nurses, together with other colleagues, will provide you with a thorough introduction adapted to your previous experience. We also offer specific training within the field of orthopaedics.

For you who are a newly graduated nurse, there is a unique and in-depth introduction and development program called RIU, with lectures, observations, and reflections over approximately 20 days during a year. This gives you the opportunity to develop and grow safely in your professional role and to meet others who are also new in their professional roles.
