Who are we looking for?

We are looking for you with a big heart and a desire to make a difference in children's lives. We would like you to be easy to collaborate with and have the ability to be flexible and responsive to adapt to the children's needs.

Qualifications:

We prefer that you have chef training or other relevant education in the restaurant and food industry. Experience working in a kitchen, preferably in preschools, schools, or institutional kitchens, is meritorious.

You have good knowledge of Swedish, both spoken and written, as well as basic knowledge of Office365.

We see that you have a genuine interest in sustainability and want to work actively with this in the kitchen, through conscious ingredient choices and working methods in line with our concepts. You have knowledge of and interest in meal pedagogy, where you contribute to creating understanding among children about food, health, and a sustainable lifestyle, with a focus on organic and KRAV-certified ingredients.

You thrive in an operation where you collaborate closely with educators and participate in children's learning, and feel comfortable including children in food experiences, for example through pedagogical activities and cooking both indoors and outdoors.

We also see that you are structured, responsible, and creative, and want to be involved in developing the kitchen as an important part of the pedagogical operations.

About Arkeologen

Norlandia Preschools Arkeologen opened in January 2025 and is located in a nature-friendly environment near Möckeln. The preschool has a clear outdoor profile where nature is a natural part of the children's everyday life and learning.

Here, food, health, and sustainability are in focus. We work actively with gardening together with the children – we sow, follow the development of the ingredients, and then take care of what we have grown in our cooking. In this way, we create a close connection between soil, ingredients, and meals, and awaken the children's curiosity and understanding of sustainable choices.

We apply individual salary setting and have collective agreements. Interviews are conducted continuously, and the position may be filled before the application deadline. Great emphasis will be placed on personal suitability.
