Smart Eye, a global leader in driver monitoring systems, is now seeking engaged safety drivers for a unique research project on fatigue on public roads. Become part of their team contributing to future driver safety in collaboration with VTI.
About the role
Smart Eye is a global leader in driver monitoring systems, a technology that will soon become standard in all vehicles. With a strong focus on driver safety, both for autonomous and traditional driving, Smart Eye works to effectively monitor and analyze driver behavior. As a safety driver, your primary task is to safely operate a vehicle on public roads in connection with a research project on driver fatigue. You will work closely with the research team and ensure a safe environment for the participants. Here you have the opportunity to contribute to groundbreaking research in driver safety and be part of the development of technology that will soon become standard in all vehicles.
The project starts with a pilot day on May 12th. The main project runs between May 17th and June 12th.

Responsibilities
The role involves driving vehicles on public roads and monitoring test subjects in a research project on fatigue, with a focus on safety and data collection.
- Driving vehicles on public roads during the research study.
- Monitoring participants' behavior while driving.
- Ensuring the safety of participants and the vehicle.
- Following research protocols carefully.
We are looking for someone who
- Has a valid driver's license (Category B).
- Has proven driving experience in a work context.
- Can abstain from coffee, cigarettes, snus, or similar substances during work shifts.
- Is calm and focused.
It is an advantage if you have
- Experience as a professional driver.
- Experience as an ambulance nurse or home care worker.
