At Norlandia Preschools, we are looking for you who want to work as a cook/kitchen assistant at our preschool, Da Vinci, in Skurup during the summer of 2026. There will also be opportunities to step in as a temporary substitute in our 3 different kitchens (1 in Skurup and 2 in Staffanstorp).

We want to establish lifelong positive food experiences for the children in our preschools, awaken children's curiosity about exciting flavors, and develop their sensory abilities. This means that we sometimes challenge the children regarding menu choices and taste profiles.

We are looking for you with a big heart and a desire to make a difference in children's lives. We would like you to be good at collaborating with others and have the ability to be flexible and attentive to adapt to the children's needs.

Examples of common tasks:

• Preparation and serving of all preschool meals.
• Cleaning according to cleaning routines and dishwashing.
• Preparation of special diets.
• Purchasing of food items and planning.
• Daily work with self-control/HACCP/Krav standards.
• Participation in the further development of our meal concept "Mat med Smak" (Food with Taste).

Qualifications and personal qualities

• Upper secondary education in restaurant and large-scale kitchen operations, or equivalent work experience.
• Training in self-control and food hygiene.
• Work in preschools requires a current extract from the police criminal record, which must be presented at the interview.
• Good knowledge of preparing special diets.
• You are a secure and responsible person whose approach and treatment of both large and small aligns well with the preschool's value base.
• You have good skills as a cook and a desire to develop our parent services at the preschool.
• You are solution-oriented, positive, and driven with ambitions and joy in work!
• You enjoy taking responsibility and find it easy to collaborate with your colleagues.
• You are an engaged and positive person who can build trust with children and guardians.
• You also have good skills in communicating in Swedish, both orally and in writing.

Norlandia Preschools Da Vinci is located in a newly built area in central Skurup. Da Vinci is situated next to a new and beautiful playground and park. Here there are three yards for outdoor activities where children can play, learn, and be challenged. Da Vinci's focus areas are motor skills and movement.

At Norlandia Preschools, we offer you competence development every semester based on the preschool's prioritized goals and initiatives. You will have access to our unique concepts, competence development days at the preschool, central initiatives, as well as offerings in our digital learning platform.

• Employment type: Fixed-term employment during the regular cook's leave.
• Scope: FULL-TIME.
• Working hours: DAYTIME.

We apply individual salary setting and have collective agreements. Interviews are conducted continuously, and the position may be filled before the application deadline. Great importance will be attached to personal suitability.
