Job Description One of the client's major and important programs is in the implementation phase and requires reinforcement of consultant roles as testers. The assignment involves performing tasks at the client related to the development, maintenance, and support of system solutions in projects and operations, e.g., designing, building, testing, and managing applications for control systems. The daily work involves being part of an agile team. The consultant will work with requirements and analysis by getting to know and understanding the business needs and contributing to making requirements clear, testable, and verifiable. The work is done in close collaboration with development teams, system developers, requirements officers, and other relevant stakeholders to identify ambiguities in the requirements and ensure a common understanding before development, testing, and production. The tester is responsible for planning, performing, and documenting tests of decided system solutions before delivery, with a focus on early identification of deviations and deficiencies. This includes work with various types of tests such as functional tests, integration tests, and acceptance tests based on developed test strategies and test plans. The role involves active participation in the project's various phases to ensure that testing is considered continuously during development. The tester documents and follows up on defects, verifies actions, and ensures that the right quality is achieved before delivery. Furthermore, the consultant contributes to the improvement of test processes and ways of working by sharing experiences, analyzing test results, and suggesting improvements for increased quality in future deliveries.

Responsibilities

• Actively participate in testing work in agile teams and projects and perform tests in accordance with quality goals and ways of working.

• Develop test strategies.

• Perform tests at several test levels, such as functional tests and integration tests, with a main focus on system testing and acceptance testing. Report status, risks, and deviations in a structured manner.

• Contribute to testability through review of requirements and ensure traceability between requirements, test cases, and identified defects.

• Design, document, and execute test cases with test data and checklists for various test levels, test environments, security, and release verification.

• Report, follow up, and verify deviations through active participation in triage, retesting, and regression testing.

• Participate in test automation and work together with development to integrate tests into CI/CD flows where applicable.

• Document test results and contribute with material for test reports and decision support before delivery.

• Support troubleshooting and maintenance by verifying corrections, patches, and changes in the system.

• Contribute with a test and quality perspective in design and implementation discussions within the team.

• Communicate clearly regarding test results, risks, and quality-related recommendations to the team and relevant stakeholders.

Requirements

1. University/College education (120/180 credits) in IT. Or at least 10 years of relevant work experience in system development or IT architecture that the client deems equivalent.
2. At least 5 years of experience, from the last 10 years, in system development.
3. At least 5 years of experience working actively with system testing and acceptance testing of IT systems or software, including work with requirements analysis and review of requirements from a test and quality perspective. The experience must be linked to projects where IT systems were built, changed, or maintained.
4. At least 5 years of experience in test design, including the creation of test cases, test data, and structured test scenarios.
5. Documented experience of working according to developed test strategies and test plans for complex systems or integration solutions.
6. At least 3 years of experience in planning and performing integration tests or testing of complex information systems and/or environment architectures.
7. At least 3 years of experience working with testing in agile teams (e.g., Scrum, Kanban), including planning, execution, and follow-up of test activities within IT or system development projects.

Merits

1. Documented experience of working with deviation handling, test follow-up, and traceability in tools such as Azure DevOps, Jira, or equivalent.
2. Documented experience of working with and further developing test automation and integrating automated tests into CI/CD flows (e.g., Azure DevOps Pipelines, GitHub Actions, or equivalent), in collaboration with development teams.
3. The consultant has worked in environments with high demands on security, robustness, or operational stability, such as the energy sector, defense sector, or equivalent.
