The Care Administration operates on the value foundation that all people we meet have equal worth and are unique. Within the administration, we have IFO (Individual Support), LSS services, social psychiatry, health and medical care, home care, and special housing. Approximately 800 employees work here, available around the clock for our target groups.

Job Responsibilities

As a Nursing Assistant at Tallbacken, you have an important and meaningful mission: to create care of the highest quality and contribute to ensuring that every resident can live their life as they wish. You help shape a secure, valuable, and content-rich daily life where every individual is at the center.

In your role, you provide personal care and support residents in their daily lives – from dressing and hygiene to meals and other daily needs. You work based on individual care plans, where you get to know each person's background, interests, and needs. In this way, you can provide care that feels personal, respectful, and secure. An important part of your work is also to contribute to social community by encouraging and supporting activities and interests that bring joy and meaning to everyday life.

You will also perform medical tasks delegated by a registered nurse, such as medication management and monitoring of health status. Together with colleagues such as nurses, physiotherapists, occupational therapists, and relatives, you work to create holistic care tailored to each individual's needs. Documentation is a natural and important part of the work, where you keep careful records according to the Health and Medical Services Act (HSL), including incident reporting and updating of care plans.

The work is varied and includes day, evening, and weekend shifts. It is also a physically active job involving lifting and moving residents, as well as handling goods and laundry. Your engagement makes a real difference – every day you contribute to ensuring that the elderly feel secure, seen, and enjoy a good quality of life.

Within the care sector in Avesta Municipality, joint planning is an important part of the work. You will be employed within the Care Administration with placement at Tallbacken, but may also be required to work at other units within the administration as needed.

Qualifications

We are looking for you who are an educated Nursing Assistant with a passed degree. Previous experience in healthcare-related work is an asset – especially if you have worked with people living with dementia.

You are interested in undergoing training in medical delegation, and if you have previous experience of this, it is an extra plus.

You have good knowledge of Swedish and can communicate clearly with both residents and colleagues, as well as document correctly. You are also comfortable using digital tools, as computers and mobile devices are an integral part of the work.

As a person, you are secure and stable in your professional role. You have a professional approach, are calm, and treat others with warmth and respect. You find it easy to adapt to changing situations and work purposefully to achieve good results. At the same time, you are a team player who collaborates smoothly with others and contributes to a positive and developing work environment.

The job also demands physical capability, as it involves awkward working positions, moving around, and a lot of movement – such as walking up and down stairs and handling laundry and storage.
