About the Role

As a security guard (skyddsvakt), your main task is to deliver safety at our customers' sites. You do this, for example, in a security control center or at an access control point. As a security guard, you have greater authority than a regular guard and often work in close collaboration with our customers' staff at sites that are of critical importance to Sweden's security.

The work is independent and often experienced as free, but with great responsibility.

The tasks are highly varied, and as a security guard, you can work both indoors and outdoors, day or night. Shift lengths vary but are often scheduled as 12-hour shifts. Since we are an operation that runs all year round, it is common to work every other weekend.

You will, for example:

• Staff security and command centers
• Ensure that unauthorized persons do not gain access to the sites
• Conduct internal and external inspections
• Be responsible for vehicle searches

Military Security Guard: If you have completed security guard training within the framework of the Swedish Armed Forces' basic training, it is valid for civilian use. The training must have been completed in 2016 or later, and the certificate must not be older than 5 years.

Requirements

• Passed grades in Swedish and English from the first year of upper secondary school
• Class B driver's license
• Passed security clearance interview
• Experience in the security industry
• Guard level vu2 or higher

• Have longer work experience
• Have weapons training

For employment within Securitas Sverige AB, you must have passed grades from the first year of upper secondary school in Swedish and be approved by the County Administrative Board for employment in an authorized security company according to the Security Companies Act (1974:191) (the application is made by Securitas). Depending on the position, a security clearance according to the Security Protection Act (2018:585) may also be relevant. To investigate and assess whether you meet the requirements to be approved according to the respective regulation, a background check is carried out. The assessment concerns law-abidingness, suitability, reliability, loyalty, and possible vulnerabilities. Information obtained may come from yourself, open sources, or authorities. Salary and employment conditions are based on collective agreements between the employers' organization Security Companies and the Swedish Transport Workers' Union.
