About the position

Region Halland is a pioneer in technical innovation, data analysis, and information-driven healthcare, revolutionizing care processes and improving patient outcomes. Our services create prerequisites for everything from operational development to research and AI applications. As a BI Developer with us, you will support the organization in data supply. Our data warehouse contributes to Region Halland reaching goals within information-driven healthcare and needs to be continuously developed based on the organization's needs. The value for Region Halland to utilize our data to understand its operations, make better decisions, and perform advanced analysis is significant, and our department is the enabling force. You will build new solutions in our data warehouse as well as manage and operate existing solutions.

We primarily work with Microsoft platforms and use Azure DevOps as support. You will join an expanding team consisting of other developers, project managers, architects, and more within the field, so there are plenty of opportunities to develop together.

About the workplace

Our department of 23 people is part of IT and Digitalization (ITD), which consists of approximately 250 employees within IT. Here there are great opportunities to develop within many different technical areas. ITD has offices in Varberg and Halmstad, and we also offer remote work.

Region Halland currently has a strong ability to work with digitalization and shows constant progress in its development, which is recognized both regionally and nationally. We have high collaboration with academia, business, and society, where a large part of our work is characterized by research, innovation, and operations. We have come a long way in the analysis area, and our department is important for the region to continue working towards the goal of becoming an even more information-driven/data-driven organization.

Qualifications

We are looking for you with a university education or post-secondary education in BI, ML/AI, Analysis/Statistics, Mathematics, or system development.

You have experience in developing, implementing, and operating BI solutions in Microsoft's BI platform (SQL, SSIS, SSAS). Merit points for experience with data warehouse architecture and the reporting and analysis tool Power BI.

As a person, you are service-oriented, analytical, and acquire relevant information or knowledge when needed. We see that you are independent and used to driving and structuring your own tasks as well as taking responsibility for your work. The position also requires great collaboration skills. Great importance will be attached to personal suitability.
