Within the healthcare administration, primary care, dental care, and hospital care are gathered in a common administration and organized into regional and local healthcare areas. The local healthcare area of Skellefteå includes the Emergency Department, Medical and Geriatric Clinic, Rehabilitation Center, Psychiatric Clinic, 1177, Center for Surgical Operations, and primary care in Skellefteå and Norsjö. Together, these aim to provide good and close care.

The Medical and Geriatric Clinic in Skellefteå is one of the largest clinics in the hospital with approximately 300 employees. The clinic currently has 42 beds distributed across four wards with different medical specialties. Outpatient care is provided in the fields of internal medicine and geriatrics, and teamwork concepts exist within various subspecialties. A physiological laboratory, day care, and dialysis operations are also part of the clinic's mission.

We are now looking for an assistant nurse for the medicine ward 6. Ward 6 is part of the Medical and Geriatric Clinic and has 14 beds. The focus is on cardiology, lung diseases, and general internal medicine. The ward has about 30 employees, but the entire clinic collaborates closely.

The position includes working days, evenings, and nights. We work in a working time model that includes reduced working hours to promote recovery.

RESPONSIBILITIES

As an assistant nurse with us, you contribute knowledge and engagement that makes people feel safe.

In your role as an assistant nurse, you are an important part of the teamwork alongside other professional categories. The work offers great variation in terms of content and pace. The job includes tasks such as taking ECGs, caring for patients, taking samples, wound dressings, blood pressure checks, documentation, and follow-up of care work.

QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for someone with a certified assistant nurse education. Since assistant nurse is a protected title, you need to present a certificate from the National Board of Health and Welfare, or alternatively a work certificate that allows you to use the title until June 30, 2033.

For the role, it is required that you have good language skills in Swedish, both spoken and written.

For this role, we consider it an advantage if you have work experience as an assistant nurse in emergency care, cardiac care, and/or geriatric care.

Additionally, you are confident in your professional role, can work independently, and have the ability to prioritize between different tasks even when the pace can be high at times.
