Property Engineer at Fortificationsverket

Fortificationsverket is seeking a property engineer for the Central Region. We work with advanced technology in critical buildings and bunkers, at airfields and naval bases. Your daily life as a property engineer

In just a few years, the security and defense political conditions have significantly changed the national defense policy. This means that Fortificationsverket is in strong growth. As a property engineer with us, you will be part of the region's technical unit, which consists of about 20 employees. As a property engineer, you will perform assignments for the manager based on a project-oriented working method. This means responsibility for planning, implementing, and following up on maintenance measures and owner-related investment projects within the property portfolio based on a set budget. As a property engineer, you will also work with status inspections, property documentation, and cost analyses, as well as participate in the procurement of consultants and contractors. The job includes travel within and outside the region.

Qualifications

We are looking for someone with education from a vocational college focused on construction or technical installation, or another education that we consider equivalent. You have several years of experience in the property industry as a property engineer, project manager, or similar. You have a high level of security awareness and good knowledge of administrative support systems. You have excellent knowledge of Swedish in both spoken and written form. A Class B driver's license is required.

It is advantageous to have education and/or experience in the construction field. It is also valuable if you have knowledge of the Public Procurement Act (LOU and/or LUFS), BAS P/U, and construction law. We also view positively if you have experience in project management and if you have experience collaborating with the Armed Forces and working with security protection agreements.

About the employment

The position is a permanent employment, with a probationary period applicable. Swedish citizenship is a requirement, as employment at Fortificationsverket is security classified. Place of employment is Villingsberg. This means that security screening and background checks will be conducted in accordance with the provisions of the Security Protection Act.
