Your new workplace

Skogsbrynet Dementia Care Home is a residence with 18 places. The home is located in Stöde and consists of one floor. Skogsbrynet is staffed around the clock. A nurse is present during weekdays, and at other times, the municipality's nurses are available. We who work at Skogsbrynet are responsible for ensuring that residents feel safe and receive the help and support they need. Needs vary from simple practical tasks at home to advanced and qualified care as well as various health and medical interventions. At Skogsbrynet, we have many areas of responsibility and great opportunities to develop and take responsibility, both individually and in groups, for example in documentation and health and medical assignments.

How you contribute as a nursing assistant:

  • Providing service and care based on individual decisions and delegated health and medical interventions.
  • The goal is to provide care and service with a person-centered and ethical approach.
  • The work should be performed professionally, with sensitivity and respect towards the care recipient.
  • In this role, it also means that you as a specialist nursing assistant will assist at Knutshemmet when needed. Knutshemmet is a somatic residence with 17 places today, located about 500 meters from Skogsbrynet.

How you contribute as a specialist nursing assistant

Your tasks include:

  • Actively working for good care for residents with dementia.
  • Being able to support and guide the work group in difficult situations that may arise when working with residents with dementia.
  • Providing care and service to care recipients with good quality.
  • Being responsible for contact person duties, which involves coordinating responsibility around the care recipient.
  • Establishing and following up on implementation plans in dialogue and participation with the care recipient.
  • Performing cleaning, laundry, and cooking.
  • Documenting according to SoL and HSL.
  • Conducting risk assessments for both care recipients and the work environment.
  • Guiding new employees and students.
  • Participating in the development of the operations and developing your own working methods.
  • Performing delegated tasks according to HSL.
  • Actively taking responsibility for one or more representative roles.
  • Collaborating with colleagues, managers, and interdisciplinary teams.
  • If necessary, work will also be performed at Knutshemmet.

Your qualifications and experience

You who are applying have a specialist nursing assistant education with a focus on dementia, with passing grades. You should be able to express yourself calmly and clearly in communication with users when various situations arise. It is an advantage if you have previously worked with dementia and have experience with BPSD. You also need to be able to document in writing in Swedish and understand and participate in written information. You have the ability to obtain and maintain delegation according to HSL. You have basic IT skills and experience in documenting in operational systems and handling email. A B driver's license and access to a car are required if you do not live in the local area, as bus connections may be lacking at certain times and periods.

As a person, you are stable and clear with good collaboration skills. You work independently, structured, and have a strong problem-solving analytical ability.
