Swedmotor is looking for a Service Technician for our workshop for marine and industrial engines

SwedMotor AB is part of the EMERNA Group, a leading engine distributor in Sweden. SwedMotor is a distributor for Hatz, VM-Motori, Isuzu, Subaru, and Hyundai's industrial program. SwedMotor is also a dealer in the Stockholm region for marine engines, diesel engines, and generator sets from MAN, Yanmar, Rehlko, John Deere, Neander Marine, and Cox Marine.

We service and repair all brands that we sell. Our customers are within commercial marine and industry. The company is located in Länna in beautifully renovated premises, about 20 km south of Stockholm.

About the position

The position involves service and repairs on diesel engines – primarily marine but also industrial. The work takes place both in our modern workshop in Länna and sometimes in the field, which may involve some travel within Sweden.

The position reports to our Workshop Manager Christian Heimer

We apply a collective agreement with Teknikföretagen/IF Metall, the position is full-time with a 6-month probationary period.

We are looking for someone who has:

• Vehicle or engine technical education, preferably in diesel engines
• Competence in propulsion and engines
• Documented experience working with diesel engines, preferably marine experience
• Knowledge in engine electronics and diagnostics for modern common rail engines
• Experience in independent work and customer contacts
• Good knowledge of English, computer skills, and a driver's license
