Your Role

We are looking for a quality engineer who wants to help ensure the highest quality in our products and processes. The role is central to our operations and involves both operational and strategic quality work in close collaboration with production, suppliers, and other quality organizations within the company.

As a quality engineer, you will work to drive and develop quality efforts in our manufacturing processes. You will be responsible for managing and following up on deviations, leading corrective and preventive actions (CAPA), as well as developing and maintaining control and inspection plans. You will also work on method and process development to improve efficiency and quality in our processes, and support production with technical expertise and problem-solving. The role also involves collaboration with quality representatives from our other production sites where the same products are manufactured, creating good opportunities for knowledge exchange and sharing.

Examples of tasks:

  • Deviation management and follow-up
  • Initiate and drive CAPA work
  • Develop and enhance control and inspection plans
  • Contribute to method and process development
  • Support production in quality issues
  • Collaborate with colleagues at other manufacturing units

Your Profile

To succeed in the role of quality engineer, we see that you are meticulous, structured, and analytical with a strong eye for detail. You find it easy to collaborate and communicate with different functions and levels in the organization, while being self-driven and pushing your work forward. We also believe that you thrive in a varied work environment that requires flexibility.

Qualifications:

  • Relevant academic education and/or several years of work experience.
  • At least 3 years of experience in the manufacturing industry or a similar role.
  • Fluent in both Swedish and English, spoken and written.

Meritorious:

  • Knowledge of ISO 9001 and AQAP 2110
  • Quality work in a paced production
  • Experience in cable manufacturing, electrical assembly, and/or mechanical assembly
  • IPC-610, IPC-620
  • Business system IFS

The position requires you to undergo and be approved according to the applicable regulations for security protection. For positions where Saab has requirements for security classification, this may, in certain cases, entail requirements for specific citizenship.
