We are now looking for a Front Office Manager who wants to take overall responsibility for our front-of-house functions and ensure top-class delivery – both in everyday operations and during conferences and events.
About the role
In this role, you will be responsible for the operations, quality, and development of the reception and housekeeping departments. You will ensure that guest relations, staffing, work processes, and experiences maintain a high and consistent level. The position combines operational presence with strategic responsibility and requires both structure and decisiveness.
You will have overall responsibility for conference and meeting bookings and ensure that each event is executed with high quality and professionalism. This involves planning, coordinating, and following up on conferences and events in close collaboration with other functions in the hotel. You will ensure that the reception and housekeeping operate smoothly in daily work through clear staffing, effective routines, and present leadership.
The role includes handling guest inquiries professionally and actively identifying areas for improvement while driving development within your areas of responsibility. You will work closely with sales and marketing functions to strengthen our offerings and contribute to the development of products, services, and overall experiences. Budget responsibility, reporting, and follow-up are a natural part of the role.
You will be part of the hotel management team, report to the hotel manager, and have personnel responsibility for employees in reception and housekeeping. You will lead and distribute work, create structure, and ensure that the teams have the right conditions to deliver high quality every day.
We are looking for someone who:
- Has documented leadership experience and a background in the hospitality industry
- Has a strong sense of service and experience in working with guest satisfaction
- Has good ability to plan, staff, prioritize, and solve problems
- Is confident in making decisions and leading in everyday situations
- Communicates fluently in Swedish and English
- Is an experienced system user and comfortable with Microsoft Office
Good to know:
- The position is a permanent employment at 100% with a 6-month probationary period
- Working hours vary – day, evening, and weekend shifts may occur
- Gysinge Herrgård has a collective agreement through Unionen
- Start date according to agreement
