Are you an experienced and driven leader with a passion for both operational activities and strategic development? Do you have the ability to engage and lead an organization towards common goals while ensuring the highest standards of safety and operational efficiency? Then this opportunity might be for you! What does the role entail? As Airport Manager at Visby Airport, you will play a central role in leading and developing an airport, where safety, service, and business development are in focus. In this role, you are responsible for managing operations in accordance with applicable laws, regulations, and authority requirements. You are responsible for the development, efficiency, and management of the airport, the operational activities, and for ensuring that processes and routines are followed in the operations.
You play a key role in representing Visby Airport and Swedavia in the region and, together with our important stakeholders, contribute to both the aviation industry's climate transition and the region's development and accessibility.
As Airport Manager, you will be part of the management team for Swedavia's regional airports, thus gaining a broad network and significant involvement in jointly developing these airports and their important contributions to Swedish accessibility.
Who are you? We are looking for an experienced leader who has been involved in developing organizations and processes. We believe you have an academic background in economics, engineering, or equivalent, and at least 10 years of leadership experience in operational activities. You are business and results-oriented and are accustomed to having budget responsibility for a larger operation. You are used to driving change, handling complex issues, and have a good ability to create networks, both internally and externally, with society, business, and regional actors. You find it easy to switch between strategic tasks and a more operational focus.
As a person, you are structured, unpretentious, and proactive. You have strong pedagogical and communicative skills and can motivate others to work towards common goals. You have good knowledge of Swedish and English, both spoken and written.
You have the ability to adapt your workday to a changing environment. You recognize the importance of creating, maintaining, and developing good relationships with many different stakeholders in a large workplace.
