Your Responsibilities
Leksand Cultural Center is now seeking a cultural assistant for a 50% temporary position during the regular staff's parental leave.
In this role, you will be responsible for marketing and communication within the cultural department. You will also be responsible for our museum shop, which includes planning, content, pricing, and purchasing. Additionally, you will be part of the cultural department's senior team, where you will participate in planning and implementing activities aimed at the elderly target group.
Your work area spans the entire cultural sector with Leksand Cultural Center as the starting point. The tasks are varied and involve both complex and more operational problem-solving. They are performed independently in consultation with the cultural manager, as well as together with other employees in the cultural department. The work is primarily carried out during the day on weekdays, but evening and weekend work may occur.
Your Profile
We are looking for someone who has a post-secondary education or experience that the employer deems relevant for the position. For this role, it is a requirement that you have experience working with digital tools. You have a good ability to express yourself well in speech and writing, as well as the ability to analyze, plan, implement, and evaluate.
As a person, you are service-oriented, proactive, social, and structured. You also have good problem-solving and analytical skills.
It is an advantage if you have:
- Experience working in the cultural sector.
- Experience in a museum shop or equivalent, including purchasing, pricing, and display.
- Experience planning and implementing activities for different target groups.
- Experience with InDesign.
- Good ability to build trust, confidence, and good relationships, both internally and externally.
- Knowledge of and experience working in a politically governed organization.
- Driver's license for passenger car (B license), as the position may involve travel primarily within the municipality and Dalarna. Being comfortable with irregular working hours is also an advantage in this context.
- Knowledge of local history.
- Knowledge of multiple languages (e.g., English, German, or French).
