JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

As an occupational therapist in Sollefteå Municipality, you will have a varied job where you prioritize and organize your workday independently. The practical work is mainly conducted in the patient's home in ordinary or special housing. We place great emphasis on collaboration with other professionals in the work around and with the patient.

In your role as an occupational therapist, you will perform ADL assessments, prescribe assistive devices, train ADL skills, and issue certificates for housing adaptations/LSS based on the patient's own goals, activity abilities, and needs. You will instruct/train/guide relatives and care staff on current measures and the rehabilitative approach in working with patients. The measures are individually adapted to support the patient towards increased independence and participation in daily life. You will meet patients of various ages, although most patients are elderly.

The occupational therapist contributes to ensuring that the rehabilitation chain functions for the individual and follows up and documents according to applicable legislation.

You will always have close support in your work as all occupational therapists and physiotherapists have their offices located in the same place. QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for someone who

• is a licensed occupational therapist

• has a B driver's license

As an applicant, you are welcome whether you have experience in the profession or are newly graduated. Experience in municipal health and medical care is an advantage, although great importance will be placed on personal suitability.
