The Cardiology Department, which falls under the Cardiology and Clinical Physiology unit, is specialized in heart diseases with 24 care places and is a combined cardiac intensive care and cardiac care unit. Here, patients with heart diseases such as angina, heart attack, heart failure, arrhythmias, postoperative care, and other patients in need of cardiac monitoring are cared for. Most of our patients come through the emergency department, but also directly from ambulances or planned from home. We also provide consultative care for patients from other clinics who temporarily need cardiological care and accept patients from across the region with an acute and subacute need for coronary angiography/PCI.

Fortunately, we have been in an expansive period with many new colleagues complementing our wonderful workgroup! We are now looking for a few more to join our team and are therefore seeking 2 nurses for our team! The positions are permanent full-time employment with start date according to agreement. We apply weekend duty 2 out of 5 weekends and a working time model.
Nurse for the Cardiology Department, Sundsvall
Job ResponsibilitiesThe work as a nurse in the cardiology department involves specific and qualified nursing care of acutely ill heart patients, such as:
- Preparation and aftercare for PCI and pacemaker.
- Electrical cardioversion of atrial fibrillation/flutter
- Postoperative care after CABG, valve replacement, etc.
- Medication treatments, both conventional and to some extent more advanced.
- Monitoring and interpretation of cardiac monitoring
In HIA, in addition to the above:
- More advanced medication treatments
- Handling more advanced medical technology/treatments such as CPAP, arterial needles, and esophageal ECG.
- Receiving and processing ambulance ECGs sent from across the region.
We are looking for someone who
- Is a licensed nurse
- Has very good knowledge of Swedish in both spoken and written form

- Have work experience in cardiac care, particularly experience in monitoring and interpreting cardiac monitoring
