Speech Therapist Wanted in Linköping

We are looking for two speech therapists as two of our therapists will be on parental leave this summer.

We can offer two fixed-term contracts for one year with a full-time workload of 100%.

The speech therapy clinic in Linköping is part of the Ear, Nose, and Throat Clinic at the University Hospital in Linköping. We work with individuals who have voice disorders, gender dysphoria, tumors in the oral cavity and throat, hearing impairments, language and speech disorders, dyslexia, dyscalculia, cleft lip and palate, stuttering, oral-motor difficulties, and dysphagia.

Our Offer

The Ear, Nose, and Throat Clinic at the University Hospital in Linköping (US), Vrinnevisjukhuset (ViN) in Norrköping, and Lasarettet in Motala (LiM) is responsible for all healthcare in the region within the ear, nose, and throat specialty. As a university clinic, we have three main missions: to provide specialized care, to teach, and to conduct research and development. The clinic treats patients from Östergötland but also provides specialized care to patients from the regions of Kalmar and Jönköping. Our operations include surgery and outpatient care in Linköping and Norrköping, and the clinic as a whole consists of a care department, outpatient clinics, hearing care clinics, an interpreting center, speech therapy, and a secretariat. The clinic has approximately 226 employees.

Job Description

As a speech therapist with us, you will primarily work with reading and writing assessments as well as the assessment and treatment of language disorders in children. Treatment occurs both individually and in groups. We are careful to ensure that our work is based on current research and proven experience, which gives you the opportunity to contribute to children's development in a meaningful way.

Work Group

We are a group of just over 20 speech therapists and one administrator. The competence and experience in the group are high. There is good collegial support where we continuously work with case discussions. We have a high level of trust in each other, and discussions are open and constructive. We work with mentorship and provide a thorough introduction for new employees.

About You

You are a licensed speech therapist with a strong interest in working with language and speech disorders as well as reading and writing assessments.

We are looking for a curious, engaged, and positive person. You easily build good relationships with both children and adults and enjoy working closely with patients and their families. You are confident in your role as a speech therapist and have the ability to provide support and guidance in a way that helps the patient achieve their goals. Collaboration with other professionals and sharing your knowledge with both colleagues and students are also important aspects of the job. We place great emphasis on personal qualities and maturity.
