Community Building, Culture, and Public Health Administration (SKF)

is one of the country's broadest and most diversified administrations and includes seven units (Emergency Services, Environmental Unit, Planning and Building Unit, Technical Unit, Meals Unit, Culture Unit, and Recreation Unit) as well as an Administrative Staff. Our goal is to be a forward-looking, change-oriented, and service-minded administration held together by our common development work and our striving to enhance each other in our respective professions. At SKF, we work at a fast pace with the broadest palette of municipal tasks, which requires our employees to look beyond their respective operations to contribute to a whole within the administration. In our operations, we respond to three political committees: the Community Building Committee, the Culture & Public Health Committee, and the Jäv Committee.

About the Position

Do you want to drive the book bus this summer and provide service to book bus visitors around our beautiful municipality? Now the opportunity for a temporary position on the book bus is available.

During a few summer weeks, you will work approximately part-time. For the rest of the year, you will be called upon as needed if regular book bus drivers are absent.

Laholm Municipality's fine book bus was inaugurated in 2025. It is built on a truck chassis and equipped with a tail lift and a 90 cm extension for extra space - a functional and accessible environment for both visitors and staff.

The book bus visits about 80 stops throughout the municipality. You will always work together with a librarian. You will be responsible for lending and returning books via a computer-based system. Some maintenance of the bus may be included, such as refueling, washing, and cleaning. You will also be responsible for setting up books in our book bus storage.

Are You the One We Are Looking For?

We are looking for someone with at least a high school diploma. You should have good experience driving heavy vehicles and be technically knowledgeable about vehicles. It is an advantage if you have worked in some kind of service profession. You need to have basic IT skills.

We are looking for someone who has a strong sense of providing excellent service and a good reception to book bus visitors of all ages. You are communicative and express yourself well in Swedish.

A C driver's license and YKB are required.

This temporary position is suitable for you who want to work part-time for a few weeks in the summer, and who have good opportunities to be called upon at short notice during the rest of the year as needed.
