We are looking for a dedicated nursing assistant for the new Sterile Technology Unit in Malmö!

We will soon be moving into care building 36, where we will become the first sterile technology unit in Sweden to use robots to automate and improve the work environment and heavy lifting. The Sterile Technology Unit is a service function within the area of intensive and perioperative care. We work with cleaning, inspecting, function testing, packaging, and sterilizing medical technology products. Our customers include operating rooms, outpatient clinics, care departments, health centers, research departments, municipalities, and private actors. Our goal is to always offer high competence, quality awareness, flexibility, and good service.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

The Sterile Technology Unit has a significant function for healthcare and the patients of Region Skåne. In your role, your tasks will consist of sterile technology work such as cleaning, disinfecting, and sterilizing surgical instruments. The work is independent and characterized by personal responsibility, while you always have support from your colleagues. In our work, you will not have any patient contact; instead, the focus is on instrument care.

QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for someone who is a trained sterile technician (YH 300p) or a trained nursing assistant who meets the Socialstyrelsen's requirements for a protected professional title, regardless of whether you have studied according to previous or current program structures. Good language skills in Swedish, both spoken and written, are a requirement. Additionally, you should be a proficient computer user with an interest in technology.

If you have previous experience working with sterile technology or in an operating room, this is an advantage for the position. Experience with T-Doc is considered desirable.

Please note that you need to attach certificates/transcripts (not just diplomas) from your nursing assistant education for your application to be considered complete. If you have received your proof of protected professional title, this must also be attached to your application. You need to present proof of protected professional title from the Socialstyrelsen or a certificate that you were permanently employed on July 1, 2023. If you do not have this proof, you will be employed as a care assistant, and the employment will be temporary, pending the proof.
