Within the Care and Welfare Administration, we have full-time as the norm. This means that all permanent employees essentially have a full-time position. Nyby/Gränby Home Care

Nyby/Gränby Home Care is a growing home care service that offers safe and professional care in the client's own home. Our strength lies in our dedicated and caring employees who make a difference every day. We operate from Leopoldsgatan in Nyby service house, where we share premises with Gamla Uppsala Löten home care and Night Patrol North. The area has good bus connections that make it easy to commute to and from work, and we also provide bicycles adapted to road conditions to facilitate travel during work.

Job Description

As a nursing assistant in home care, you will have varied tasks. You play an important role in direct contact with our clients, providing personal care and service measures that make a difference in their daily lives. You work every day to provide good care with great consideration for the individual needs of the clients. You will also perform tasks delegated by licensed personnel and document according to the Social Services Act. Our ambition is for you to develop the operations and yourself in close collaboration with your colleagues.

Qualifications

We are looking for someone who is a trained nursing assistant. Experience in home care is an advantage. To succeed in the role, you need to be able to cycle in all weather conditions. The job also requires good knowledge of Swedish in both spoken and written form.

As a person, you see opportunities in changes and can easily adapt to changing circumstances. You work well with others and relate to them in a responsive and smooth manner. Furthermore, you take initiative and start activities to achieve results. Last but not least, you have the ability to understand someone else's perspective or situation without taking over their feelings.

Requirements:

• trained nursing assistant
• comfortable cycling in all weather
• good knowledge of Swedish in both spoken and written form

Desirable:

• experience in home care
• protected professional title as a nursing assistant according to the National Board of Health and Welfare's requirements

As of July 1, 2023, the title of nursing assistant is protected. To use the title of nursing assistant, you must provide proof from the National Board of Health and Welfare or a certificate that you were permanently employed as a nursing assistant on July 1, 2023. If you have nursing assistant training but lack proof or a certificate, you may temporarily receive the title of care assistant.

In your application, you should indicate your citizenship. If you are not a citizen of Sweden, the EU, EEA, or Switzerland, you must also be able to prove that you have a valid work permit or are exempt from the requirement to have a work permit. Employment can only occur after verification of the work permit, as required by the Aliens Ordinance.

Employment with Uppsala Municipality may involve military placement.
