Our Operations
The Endocrine Oncology Department is a unit within the area of blood and tumor diseases. The department currently has 17 beds on weekdays and 12 beds on weekends. With us, you will have a varied job where you can combine nursing with some acute care. Some of the most common diagnoses are neuroendocrine tumors (NET), thyroid cancer, and lymphoma. We strive for continuous development and to be part of the highly specialized cancer care. Our specialty in oncology is CAR-T treatments, which are a new immunotherapy for cancer. On the oncological-endocrinological side, we have another specialty that deals with targeted radiation. The medication is called Lutetium, and the patient receives the medication intravenously and is then isolated for a day due to the patient emitting radioactive radiation.
The department has a close collaboration with other departments/clinics within our area of operations.
Your Mission
As a nursing assistant in the Endocrine Oncology Department, you are an important part of the highly specialized care surrounding the patients. Together with a nurse, you are responsible for a care team where you can focus on nursing assistant tasks. The cornerstone of the care we provide is basic nursing. You will also have the opportunity to receive delegation in more specialized tasks such as sampling, handling various drains and catheters, and administering tube feeding.
Your Qualifications
We are looking for someone who is a trained nursing assistant and has received or is waiting for your professional certificate. We place great emphasis on personal suitability, and it is a requirement that you have previous experience from inpatient care for at least 1 year. We provide advanced highly specialized care, so it is advantageous if you have experience with patients receiving immunotherapy treatments and radiation-related treatments.
We Offer
A permanent position at 100%. A probationary period may apply. Working hours are scheduled for days, evenings, nights, and weekends. Selection will take place continuously, and the position may be filled before the application deadline.
With us, you will receive benefits that make a difference, read about the benefits here (https://regionuppsala.se/formaner/).
